Gulf Coast Home Educator's Conference 2008 - Children's Program We are excited about this year’s children’s program and all it has to offer. SETHSA is offering 4 sessions in the children’s program. You can purchase as many sessions as you would like. When each session reaches 200 that session will become closed. Each of the four sessions will include a story-time workshop with Jim Weiss of Greathall Productions, a Mad Science show, and a music workshop. There will also be stations set up with games, art, puzzles, and if time allows a Veggie Tale movie time. Each session is $5. Mr. Weiss travels extensively throughout The United States, giving live performances at stores, libraries, schools and community events. He has hosted and starred in a PBS television pilot that won a Northern California Emmy for "Best Children's Show," and has even performed at THE WHITE HOUSE Annual Easter Event. As a storyteller, his performances have been described as exciting and enchanting. His connection with the audience is magnetic and interactive. Learn more Mad Scientists present elementary science concepts to kids in a way that makes sense to them -- with hands-on experiments and eye-catching demonstrations. They help kids in preschool through 6th grade learn basic science principles with After-School Programs, In-Class Workshops, or Large Group Assemblies. Maybe best of all, they can customize the programming to fit specific needs. Kids actually get to DO science, not just hear about it! Learn more
On the registration form you will need to pay for the number of sessions you will need for each child attending. A special thank you goes to Heaven Sent Choir for helping to staff our Children’s Program. Be sure to visit their booth in the Exhibit Hall. |
