Gulf Coast Home Educator's Conference 2008 - The Used Book Sale will be Thursday June 5, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The Book Sale will be at Reliant Park, 8400 Kirby, Houston, Tx 77054. You will use the McNee gate off of Kirby. When you come past the ticket booth you will turn left at the end of the Reliant Building which is on your left. This will allow you to go around the back of the building and all the way down to the far end. You will come in the loading dock doors. If you are selling you may arrive at 8 a.m. to set up. Please bring your own table, chair, and any cash for your cash box. If you are buying you will not be able to go into the Book Sale until 9 a.m.

The cost to sell books is $5, to purchase is $2 and the cost for children over 12 is $1. These cost help cover some of the expenses for that day.

Sometimes Reliant doesn’t charge for parking on Thursday. We never know what they will do from year to year. Please be prepared to pay to park. At this time, the cost to park is $8 each time you enter the parking lot. Around 10 a.m. on Thursday morning Reliant Park will come down to the Used Book Sale to sell their parking passes. The parking pass will be $20 and will cover coming into the parking lot as many times as possible during the Used Book Sale and two days of the conference. Here is how it works. If you pay to come into the gate just bring your parking stub in with you and when you turn it into Reliant they will charge you the difference between the parking pass and what you paid at the gate.
